ooc: One of my more important fingers is experiencing some pain, so bear with me on this.
Last time I ever play hockey if it means I can't type afterwards.
Jim scratched his back absently. "There's nothing fun I've ever found about being forced to work. especially with all those sligs poking around; you gotta look out for those guys. They can all be pretty nasty when they get bored, or drunk. I've never met a slig that didn't enjoy beating us up."
That wasn't actually true. Since arriving at Rupture Farms he'd met several that hadn't anted to beat him up, but he'd been so scared at the time that he hadn't actually noticed. This guy seemed pretty wierd to Jim and he felt that he needed some guidance. "hey, I met another mudokon here called Frod that I bet you'd get on well with!"

Stivik was by now in the security office and in front of the fone, waiting to be put through to President Griatch. After a few seconds a head flashed on the screen of the VIG (Very Important Glukkon).
Griatch did not look pleased. "Please remind me why we're paying you Stivik."
Stivik grunted. He didn't like where this was going. "Because I reported to the Cartel when my squad leader got us involved with a plan to breed an army to use against them."
"No... Well..." There was an awkward silence. Stivik concealed his smirk. "We pay you because we expect you to obey ORDERS! We ORDERED you to leave Rupture Farms!"
But sir, there's still work I can-"
"There's no work you can do there now and you know it. I know full well about what happened between you and the black-skin and how you feel about her."
"I HATE THE GROUND THAT B!TCH WALKS ON!"
"I KNOW! weren't you listening again? But rather thatn sit around and show her how much you hate her, we want you to be doing something useful! There's a glukkon we're watching who hasn't been pleasing us and we'd like to know what he's up to. So either you get on the train that arrives at Rupture Farms in 15 minutes, or we'll send another train carrying a firing squad to brong us back what's left after they find you! Do I make myself clear?"
Stivik wanted to say something defiant. But he had no doubt that Griatch would carry out that threat. "Clear enough sir."
"Good. Don't keep our train waiting."
The fone switched off. Stivik stared at the blankness left for a few seconds before turning around and punching the table. Gaining nothing from this except a few bruised knuckles, he turned and stormed out of the office.

Dionysia continued to wait. But then decided wating wasn't particularly interesting and marched back into the entrance hall, whewre she spotted Stivik down a corridor. He turned and saw her.
"Well, Miss High-and-mighty, I'm sure you'll be glad to know I'm leaving. My boss has somehow got it into his head that with you around things might start running smoother round here." he laughed drily.
She looked at him, slightly surprised, determinedly hiding her anger at the Cartel, thinking they could take complete control over peoples lives. Well, that was what she told herself. "I take it yopu don't want to leave?"
He laughed bitterly again. "What do you think? Did you here what happened to Anni?"
I guess what you said about ou- the boss is true."
"He let her off again? Ha, any day now and this whole factory will be spread in pieces across the whole of Mudos and Griatch will probably be blaming me." He continued to rant a bit as Dionysia looked on surprised, reasonably certain that Stivik shouldn't have just told her the name of his boss.
"Isn't all this confidential information?"
"So throw me in a grinder, what does it reall matter? Who are you likely to tell?"
Anger spread across her face. "Well I can't say I'm upset to see the back of you. If you're looking for comiserations and regrets look else where. You're a snoop. You're a traitor to everyone and anyone you meet. You expect anyone to be sad to see the back of you?" She stomped away, leaving Stivik looking surprised and wandering what he'd said to get her so angry. With a grunt he headed back upstairs to tell Arnie about his departure.
ooc: that's right, Stivik's leaving. With me replying less I thought it better to have one less character to worry about. Plus keeping him in bothered me, as it didn't really follow with the plot.
Actually I have a vague idea for writing a fanfiction that may include him and Dionysia. Don't know what will come of it yet, but don't be too upset. Work goes on at Rupture Farms.
