Munch's Exoddus was indeed intended to supply the story that had to be cut from
Munch's Oddysee. However, Lorne suspects that future Oddworld games would be tied in to his films. In that way, when the second part of the Quintology is released, maybe we can expect a rectifying retcon, i.e.
Munch's Oddysee - The Director's Cut.
