Two things I agree with you; Ian McKellen was brilliant in this one and Angel was great, if only for eye candy
. Only, it seemed like 3/4 of his character arc had been cut out; he just pops in and pops out in random scenes. Hopefully there'll be more of his stuff in the DVD to make sense of it all.
But, to clarify people's theories, they've all but ruled out a fourth movie. If there will be, it will be either the Magneto or Wolverine prequels that are already in pre-production.
