That's not a very good analogy (Fax, where are you?!). A gun can kill someone, and guns are not freely available to teenagers. The fact is, we're all born with the equipment needed to have sex.
Most females are educated enough to know that they'll become pregnant if they have unprotected sex. I believe when you are capable of grasping that very real fact, the issue of age shouldn't matter. All this crap about being to young to understand, is just that, crap. I hate to bring it up again, but I had sex at a rather young age, and it hasn't turned me into a monster, or someone with severe traumatic episodes. I knew what I was doing, and I knew all the consequences.
Perhaps people shouldn't attack what they haven't experienced. Because most of what is being said is simply an opinion based on no facts.
The issue of teen pregnancy, and under-age sex are different issues. One stems from being poorly educated, and the other is just a supposedly good way of preventing teen pregnancy. Yet everyone is not blind. You can't enforce such a stupid law. But you CAN educate people.
