What I ment to say, was that was the film suppossed to be that she was dead at the beginning? If it was, then their previous life had no purpose, and the movie had no purpose? Maybe I should play the game.

Yes, she and Cybil died in the car crash right before she wakes up in Silent Hill.
The point of you realizing that they have been dead at the end was meant to bring up questions. Just like how her husband never passed into 'the otherworld.' Questions that could lead to a possible sequel

If you really want full Silent Hill feeling, then yes, you should play the game. That is what the movie was based on, after all.
