Streak was unsure what she was going to say, but was saved the trouble when Olivia put her hand to her forehead and grew stony and silent.

Punch, now with his wind up and ready for a fight, leapt back at The Mean Cat. He tried to bite into his back as he leapt forward.
Meanwhile, Dave felt Akky's spell let go of him, though he had no idea that it was Punch who had interrupted it. He had to move fast, before Fisher realized what had happened.
Dave, usually never one to risk doing something that could get him killed, was about to dive for the gun when a fireball burst out of the air, hurtled to the ground, and revealed the form of a man.
"Fisher? This is unexpected!" he said, on identifying him. He looked at Dave, then back at Fisher, "It seems we both seek the same thing, though your methods are questionable."
Fisher turned upon this newcomer - Daniel, Fisher's mind picked up. One of Slade's.
"It would seem your methods involve letting someone else subdue who you're after and showing up to claim him yourself." Fisher was near the edge.
Dave took advantage of this extra time to dive for the gun. Fisher saw out of the corner of his eye, but was, remarkably, too slow to react. He was nearly ready to attack when he saw Dave held the gun. He froze in his tracks.
Then, amazingly, a ball of lightning arose from Krisha's direction - though neither Dave nor Fisher knew she was there - and launched itself at Fisher.
For a brief, critical moment, Fisher was so nervous about being shot that he forgot about his near immortality and vanished to avoid the ball of lightning.
"Dave!! RUN!! NOW!"
Dave didn't stop to ponder who had said this. He turned and ran for it.
