Also there was that problem with the early Xbox' that the power supplies were overheating. Check out
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/sy...eplacement.htm - it tells you all you need to know about whether your Xbox could have been affected. If it was, you may be able to fix the problem with the replacement cable, otherwise they may replace the whole thing seeing as it was their screwup.
