Using 2002 figures and talking only about Britain:
15.5% of our exports go to America, the rest go elsewhere - hardly an unrecoverable position, is it?
Our imports come mainly from Germany at 12.9%, with America slightly trailing at 11.9%. Again, we are NOT dependant on America's economy and resources. Sure, there would be shock waves if it were to one day fall into the sea or something. But the end of the world? Not even close.  |

germany dependent on? And what countries are
those countries dependent on? It all roots back to the grandaddy of the economy, which is the US.
