1). You are aware that America is not a country. It's a contenant. As for the USA being the cruch of the world economy, you are aware it is one of the most in debt countries in the world? All ever other country has to say is "Pay us our money back or we're not giving you credit and supplies" and the USA crumbles into nothing.

2). Also, the USA has crashed economicaly before. And these days we've got China emerging as a new super-economy and the re-rise of Japan. Heck, even the EU is getting big enough to contend with the USA. We're even keeping Microsoft at bay!
1). I am pretty sure America is a country, North America is the continent. The debt of the US doesn't matter so much as long as we remain the biggest buyers, then we remain the center point of the economy. And yes, all any country would have to do is speak up, but if China and other countries are to remain this growing economic power house, they have to keep selling to us. The United States is still one of the wealthiest countries in the world.
