Fisher knew in the back of his mind that he had become too big and snake-like to maneuver effetively enough to really fight Pseok. But he had also expected the eagle to transform into the phoenix, and it seemed Pseok wasn't entirely confident. In Fisher's mind, this made for a more balanced battle.
When Pseok tried to home in on Fisher's eyes, Fisher easily bent his head down and out of the way of Pseok's tearing claws, sending the eagle harmlessly by.
Fisher bent around and trained his sights on Pseok, and breathed a wide, flat arc of fire at Pseok. Fisher knew that if the eagle was paying attention, he'd likely know to fly below or above the fire and easily avoid it, but he was hoping to catch him panicked.
Meanwhile, below, Dave was gaining ontrol of himself, and it occurred to him that he should try and shoot at Fisher. He was taking careful aim at Fisher's heart, or what he thought was where his heart would be. But he had the feeling that it wouldn't matter where Fisher was shot, so long as he was the one to do it.
He had finally steeled himself to shoot when, just before he could pull the trigger, something leapt at his back.
Dave let out a cry and twirled around, trying to see what it had been. He saw a flash of black fur, and he realized it was Akky.
"Get off me, you idiot! I have to get Fisher!" Dave muttered, not knowing that Akky was in cahoots with Fisher.

Blaze and Streak shared identical looks of disbelief when Olivia bid them good bye and good luck.
Art, meanwhile, was moaning. He turned to Kaira. "I didn't misplace this one! I was looking right at it and it disappeared! Guns don't just f***ing disappear!"
Blaze turned to Art as Streak went off to catch up with Olivia.
Blaze: "Art, think this out logically." He realized the situation, then amended himself. "Or rather, try to puzzle it out knowing what we know."
Art grumbled. "That guy Fisher might have taken it."
Blaze: "Unlikely. I doubt he would need a gun to fight with."
