Fisher unleashed a hideous shriek and went spiraling down towards the water. He tried to correct his course with his good wing and failed. He tried to focus and rebuild his torn wing but couldn't quite do it. Instead, Fisher allowed himself to revert to his humanshape - the left side of his coat was torn considerably - and struck the water, creating an impressive splash.
Dave saw the whole thing, and was deciding whether Fisher would surface. But deep down, he knew better.
Fisher, meanwhile, was sinking fast. Drowning, no, but sinking quickly to the bottom of the lake. This was an outrage! Fisher wasn't near tired, and still full of ideas. So, if an aerial battle wasn't going to work for him ...
Fisher's clothes billowed out from him, as if they had trapped lots of air under them in the water. They began to smoke, and Fisher's aura spread out and took an odd shape: it looked to be a man-sized lizard. But it was rapidly growing. Elongating. The head grew triangular and horned. The scales grew wide and tough. It wasn't long before his monsterous reptilian head broke the surface.
Dave went pale when he saw it. What came out of the lake reminded him of those Chinese New Year parades ... except in those, the dragons were brightly colored and festive, not pitch black and spewing flames into the sky.
Dave couldn't move, and watched as the dragon rose to attack Pseok.
