ooc: Would I really?
Apologies for the use of random chars in this section.

Dionysia was not best pleased. "Stivik isn't my body guard, or is he too scared to be on his own? Anyway, Arnie just told me to get to the grinders, so that is where I'm going." Ignoring Razer and Gappiqu she stepped quickly past them both and headed towards the stairs.

Stivik stood, desperately trying to decide what to do. a thought occured to him and he moved over to the fone (ooc: not a typo, that's how they spell phone in Oddworld) in the corner. Hoping no one stepped in, he pulled a small metal key out of somewhere on his pants and stuck it into the crack beneath the screen. After a few seconds the fone buzzed and the screen flickered on to show a slig saluting to the right of the screen. looking confused the slig leant forward and tapped something out of view.

Stivik hissed quietly, "I'm over here you idiot."
The slig spun araoud. "Oh, sorry, wrong camera," he looked embarassed.
"Look, shut up and get me through to Cartel Snoops dept."
The Slig looked suspicious, "The password?"
Stivik sighed and told him the password (something too rude to type). The slig nodded. "Righty-o, hang on a second..." The screen went black.

A few seconds later a message flashed onto the screen in blazing letters, "Welcome, you have reached the Cartel Snoops Dept. If you believe their is a snoop in your factory or place of work, press 1. If you are looking for work as a Cartel Snoop, press 2. If you Are a snoop and would like a word with your boss, press 3."

A few seconds later the head of a rather irritated glukkon appeared on the screen.
Glukkon, "Yeah, whaddaya want?"
"This is..." He lowered his voice, "This is spy 5070, Stivik, requesting permission to speak to Director Ureal."
"Alright, hang on..."

Another pause of a few seconds and then a different glukkon appeared on screen.
Ureal: "Stivik? What is it? Make it quick if it can't wait till you get back here."
Stivik took a breath and continued barely above a whisper, "I don't think I should leave Rupture Farms yet, I think there's still work for me to do here."
The glukkon looked annoyed, "You'll leave when you're told to leave, Arnie's judgement has been passed so we don't need a spy there anymore."

Jim followed closely behind Anni and as they rose the staircase turned sharply left. Jim could here someone talking quietly and a crackly voice like a fone. After a few seconds he reached the top of the sairs and found himself in a narrow passage running behind a room that the voice was coming from. Tiny holes in the wall allowed him to see into the room, but peering through there was no one in his range of vision. But the voice went on.

"Dionysia can't be trusted!"
The fone voice replied, "That's exactly why she's there! We know what went on between you two and it won't effect our decision."
"But You can't take her word about Arnie, if she sees an advantage in saying he's changed when he hasn't she'll take it. Even if you send someone here every other day they can still lie their way through it. You need someone here all the time to make sure their really is a result."
The voice sighed. "Fine, how's this? One of the vykkers will be going down there tomorow or the day after, they can't bare to be separated from her. If he thinks it's necessary that Arnie is watched you can stay. If not you'll be going back with him? Ok? But as long as you're there keep a close watch on Arnie himself, not on what the workers are doing."
"Ok, that's fine."
"Good, I'll expect to here your report soon."
"I'll send a recording tonight. Stivik out."
jim saw a slig suddenly walk past his eye-hole and out of the door of the room. Not daring to speak, he stepped back from the wall as quietly as he could and looked at Anni.
