I decided to use my Ninja character.
Haven't been able to play very much so far, but I did manage to join the Thieves Guild and do a few quests for it. Also in the process of buying that shack on the Imperial City Waterfront.
I'm at level 8 from exploring the general area around the Imperial City, currently on the way to the first Oblivion Gate.
