Dave was amazed and more than a little terrified at the height they flew. As they went he took in the land below. It was quite a view. He thought he saw something below, looking back up at them. He couldn't be sure - his eyes were good, but not that good.
When they landed, he climbed off carefully. When Pseok offered to fly him back down, Dave said, "Uh, whatever. Wow. Uh, no, we can just chill here for a while."

"Uh, my name is Streak," she said to the cats. "I guess I'm from the circus. Or I guess, a zoo. Whatever. It's not important. Tell me more about this Cats Secret Place. I'm curious."
---
"Shit," Art mumbled. "Way to leave it up to me to sneak a tiger, two Anthros, and a couple of talking cats into town."
He said you just had to get them to safety.
"I know what he said. But where else is there?"
Somewhere outside town. The mountains, maybe.
"I suppose. I'd better get a move on."
You do that.
Art made his way out of the hospital and began his return to the truck.

Fisher opened his eyes. He was in a secluded cave at the base of a mountain near Golden Valley. He had been manipulating D'Angelo's thoughts for a short time. There was no real reason for them to come to the mountains, except so Fisher could try and win back Streak.
And that boy. Dave. Who knew what sort of power he possessed in this world, which Dave himself had had a hand in creating? Fisher suspected it was almost like those ridiculous web comics where the Author character had godlike powers over everyone. Except Dave didn't seem to know it. And Fisher couldn't be entirely sure that this was the case.
Fisher would have to try his best to take the kid when they got there.
