I think Paramites use scent (In AO you hear all that snuffling sound in Paramonian Temple, and I think Scrabs use Sonar (maybe that's one of the reasons they're always howling). About the invisibility, remember it's magic here, so maybe it conceals more than just visual. Perhaps, coming from a ghost trap, it turns you into a ghost? Just a theory.
