OOC: People can join if they are not just aware of the rules, but following them also. I don't know if an event like this train crash is against the rules, it sounds like a sort of power-play to me. But it's definately a sudden plot change, which is not allowed, according to the title Sticking to the Storyline in the RPG Rules. As you can see, there's already a lot going on in the factory, and if you really want to join, don't start these 'secondary adventures', just because you don't know what to do. Imagine yourself into the place of your character(s), look for more experienced members' characters and interact with them. They are most likely to know what's going on if you don't. With helping them and the advance of the storyline, you'll get the hang of RPing.

So, in short, don't take the factory apart just because you want to do something 'important'. I strongly recommend reading The RPG Rules for those who want to join in. It's detailed and clear, and you won't have to listen to all this if you read and follow them.
