sorry but I kinda haven't noticed a random character in my intro, if you're referring to Gore, it's just short for Goresplatter - essentially, noone is actually there except Goresplatter himself, he thinks he's at the front door (and thought there would be a panel he could speak into), so he turns to talk to someone, and just thinks they're ignoring him (he was blind at this point). Literally talking to a brick wall
P.S. Goresplatter the Slig IS pretty stupid.
Gore walks into the dark shaft. His eye lights return to function.
Goresplatter: OK, aren't I meant to be in the main hall? Whatever.
He turns the rope for the lift and makes to the top. A couple of creaks and a click suggest a fault in the lift. Gore tries to open the door but it won't budge. He begins to worry.
Goresplatter: Right, where in Odd am I?
He looks in his pants for a map, but only finds his application form. He must have dropped his map outside instead. Another creak put him into total panic. He hammered on the door loudly.
Goresplatter: "LET ME OUT! I - DON'T - WANT - TO - DIE!"
