I suppose it must have. And of course, hence the verb 'to get bollocked' or sometimes 'to get bollocksed'. In other words, to get seriously told, and maybe even (gasp!) a detention!

Incidentally, our F word actually derives from ancient Egyptian, with a bit of pre-Celtic thrown in. How you managed to mingle ancient Egyptian and pre-Celtic into a four-letter word I don't know.
I find the original of swear words amazingly fun. For one thing it allows perfectly legal use of otherwise 'bad' language. Sod, for instance, is a type of grass terfing. And any Red Dwarf fan will tell you 'smeg' comes from the medical disease* 'smegma', which is sexually transmitted, although 'smeg' is also a brand of refridgerator.
* I believe that most diseases are medical.
