OK, heres an alternetive. If the slig dies, you can go back as Abe. Activate the Abe bird portal and walk into the other screen. The slog should be on the other side of the room. Wait til the slig makes a noise and run to the left, since the slog has your attention. Run jump onto the platform and then run jump off the platform. The slog is too dumb to chase to the next screen, so possess the other slig to kill that slog. At least try to finish off the other slogs. When you can, save the mudokons. If you can't, go up on the platform to avoid the slog. Next, Run jump off the platform to repeat the same process. This next part is tricky. You have to jump over the slog to get into the bird portal. This may be difficult. Hope this helps.
