I agree. Oddworld’s set up to be a big place, with many species and races. I’m sure that not everyone there has the same outlook and ethics of the Mudokons. Who’s to say that, somewhere, there isn’t a situation that would or could be solved with the Fangus approach?
I reiterate, it wasn’t the concept behind Fangus that I didn’t like, with the guns, and the bloodshed, and the bombs that have the EXPLOSIONS, glayven. I just didn’t like the direction that the character designs were headed, is all.
Oddworld’s supposed to be ten times the size of earth, and this (to me anyway) presents the opportunity to explore many different types of gameplay (yes, even shooters). Branching from that thought, I realize that the quintology is the most important saga to the series, but the planet’s size gives OWI a chance to create many different side-stories that encompasses a wide variety of characters.
