Why do you think that happened?
It's because these religious nuts say that being gay is ungodly. The man tried to live a life the church deemed acceptable, even though it was against his true feelings. He didn't start liking men, he just decided to finally come out of the closet. You can blame the church for that failed marriage. If being homosexual wasn't as frowned upon, he would have come out ages ago.
