Grace stopped when she heard someone call her. She was desperate to find out what the people were planning, if they were caught up in the mafia. But then she was a police officer and she couldn't get away with ignoring someone. She turned.
She caught sighte of an oddly dressed woman standing at the top of the slope nearby, and Grace thought she saw a whisp of smoke rising behind her. She called up in reply.
Grace: "What's up?" She glanced at the door. Watching from outside was better than nothing anyway, and probably better than what she had had in mind.
