Dead when i became a fan....

It started for me in the summer of 1997 when there was a demo disc (playstation underground?) with Abe's Oddysee on it. I had been following the game since its announcement and was growing strong interest up until then with the character design that i saw in magazine advertisements. When the game finally launched on September 17, 1997, i picked up my reserved copy and holed up in my room until i finished it. I was obsessed from then on. Eventually getting tons of oddworld swag, a statue, retail displays, the art book, anything that had anything to do with oddworld. Including 3 oddworld tattoos.

for nearly 9 years now, oddworld has been a large part of my life. And not because it is a video game. If oddworld were never a game, but rather a series of illustrated books, or an animated tv series, or anything i would still be just as in love with it.
