How come there is only one female out of the species and if a queen died how would the species repoduce?

There are other female Glukkons, if the aforementioned image showing Maggie about to deal with Molluck depicts cannon. They're shapped rather similarly to Gloktigi, clearly not fully-fledged queens. Perhaps they can develop into a queen when the previous queen has died.
