1) A good question but with no real answer known yet. I just assume that the 'queen' biology is very different to the 'worker' biology in the Oddworld hive system. This is where the comparison to bees breaks down, as queens are just worker bees that are fed royal jelly, whereas it appears that oddworld queens are born different.
2) There's probably a platform that approaches her hoo-ha when she's about to pop one out. Either that or she moves to a different location entirely when in birthing mode.
3) I'd say that the pole/crane thing is her mode of transportation.
