*Beats Xav over the head with a lead pipe* Maybe if they wanted to LOSE money. Let's face it, Lorne's gotten a little better at voice work (compare AO to SW), but he's not movie quality, especially for a movie.
We have to get out of the "game quality is good for movie quality" mentality and realize that there are gonna have to be a large amount of changes if they want this ship to sail. I could name a few people who could do the voice of Abe... um, I just have to think of them first. But trust me: plug your nose, and get the tone right, and pretty much anyone can do Abe.
Sorry for seeming a bit harsh, and no, I would never actually hit Xav with a pipe (maybe a piece of PVC...
), but you guys need to stop and realize that a lot of the stuff they did in the games isn't gonna cut it here. This is the big leagues, and a lot of sacrefices are going to have to be made if this is going to succeed.

Anyone have a hunch when it would approximately be released? How long does it usually take to make an animated movie?

I think it takes two to three years, factoring in a lot of things.
