The animators at Weta loved doing that. It was like a break from the computer which is cool.

Don't believe everything you hear...
I do much love my stop motion, oh yes me does. But the animator for the origional Kong had a spot of bother, if I remember correctly. Something like, his wife killed his two sons and then commited suicide while he was making the film, poor lad.
