I know "LEET" is when you tahlk and doo stuf liek zis, but did this forum create/invent it cause Ive never heard it before?

Just because I'm feeling nice: leet was invented in the early days of online communication by hackers and other technologically competent individuals so that only members of their 'club' could understand what they were saying. Thus it's purpose was similar to that of Cockney rhyming slang and other similar codes. As time wore on, more and more people picked up on it and now it is mostly used by 12 year old wankers who want to sound cool and don't realise that anyone who has any right to call themselves
elite refuses to use it any more.
