It's because most of the games out there today lack originality. At least that's what I think. I don't think I'm as interested in them as I was when I was younger, either, but I think I'll always play games like Zelda and Oddworld even if I stop playing games altogether and call myself a "non-gamer girl" because they are the most original ones out there, in my opinion.
Whenever I play those, I actually feel as if I've accomplished something.
