Yeah, Sam was originally going to be in Vykkers Labs, but obviously she wasn't, or Abe's primary mission there would be to rescue her. However, the Vykkers still sell Labour Eggs, so they must be producing them through Sam.
Shrinks are spider-like robots with advanced artificial intelligence designed by the Vykkers to keep highly important slaves and workers productive. The best example would be Sam, who is suicidally depressed, but has a Shrink to keep her alive and producing Mudokon eggs. If you've seen the Guardian Angel movie in
Abe's Oddysee, that's a Shrink.
