I didn't say women are sexually attracted to these symbols; I meant it's a symbol of women's sexuality. A woman can
relate to the traits dolphins are popularly believed to possess because those traits commonly decribe a sexy woman. Therefore, a dolphin could symbolically represent a woman and her sexuality, perhaps making her comfortable with using these toys.
EDIT: Oh, I thought of another trait. Dolphins are often used to symbolize freedom, and usually women are thought of as seeking someone they can be sexually free with. This could be taken as their being attracted to the dolphins, but I think it's more likely that they want to be as free as the dolphins. Again, another situation in which women can identify with the creature.
