That guy is tre coolio, and he's coming to my city in a few weeks to give a speech of some sorts. I may just attend.
Anyway, as for punk... it's not really my kind of music. I mean there's some good stuff, like the Sex Pistols + Ramones, but the majority of punk is rather homogenous. Although, I admit, I've never listened to the Dead Kennedys. Maybe it's time I give them a whirly.
Another good rockabilly/punk band is
The Bloody Hollies. They come from around my establishment and they've toured the country, Europe, and they've played at South by Southwest. Good stuff, lemme tell ya.
