The difficulty level isn't excrutiatingly hard. The game gives you infinite lives and you never lose any items you've collected when you die so that saves the heartache of having to go back and loosing progress.
In the days following after I purchased the game I did spend a
*good portion of my time playing the game. Like I said to get the most out of it I'm going to play it through in the other languages it comes in starting with French to hear the sexy female voices...
