Now, what do you all think of the idea of having your cremated remains scattered over your favourite/important/special place or some other area of natural beauty?

I would prefer that to sitting in an urn. There's the whole "becoming one with nature" spirituality thing, which is quite romantic, but part of me just thinks that the whole process is kinda silly, you know?
Still, I feel a certain connection to many beautiful places in the Appalachian Mountains near my home. Even though I would much rather be entombed next to my life partner in a spiffy mausoleum deal, being scattered over the green mountains of Appalachia is also rather appealing.
