I always notice a 'natural blush' to myself in photographs and suchlike, but I've never heard anyone mention it (aside from yourself). :s
Yeah, the thing with that is, people are still pretty convinced by this old-wives-tale that a little (or a lot) red in the cheeks means that you're healthy, when in actual fact it has nothing to do with that. Many people's brains are actually wired up to not notice it, whereas others are, but most people won't take issue or notice it.

If I recall from the many biology lectures that I've had on this subject, it's got something to do with the thinness of the skin, or flipping it the other way round, the closeness of the small capillaries to the surface of the skin - either way has the same effect. Some people who're bothered by it have it permanently cleared by a few treatments with a laser - this can require several treatments depending on how red your cheeks are, but it basically just kills off all the capillaries and stimulates the thickening of the skin.

And I have no idea why I even remember all that.
