I wouldn't mind my body being cut up and given to living people who need particular organs, as long as they still work all right.
I think having my ashes being scattered somewhere important to me would be the absolute ideal. However, if I was to die tomorrow, I could think of nowhere I would want my ashes scattered - I simply assume places will become important as I grow older. Hopefully different places to where I've already been. I suppose I wouldn't mind if my ashes were just 'scattered' generally into the air. Let the people breathe them, let them slowly settle over a river/the ground/a tree/some animal.
I certainly wouldn't want my ashes placed in an urn on a mantlepiece. Urns look terrible.
