Dek looked alarmed at Anni trying to take Stivik's gun, but then saw a Slig run out, trip over the Scrab, and then, that other mudokon started chanting and the Slig's pants fell apart. He wasn't sure what to do, so he settled for weilding his sedative syringe like a knife, and attempting to inject it into Anni to calm her down, he jabbed t her with it, trying to get her away.

Arthur still waited for a reply from the Vykkker, it hadn't done anything since he spoke to it. He was getting a bit confused by it.
