Ground Squirrels. They dig burrows everywhere. It's a mountainous region, so there are alot of hikers, and one occasionally trips in a hole and breaks their ankle. That's bad.

Isn't the point of hiking to see nature and whatnot? How can you consider something living in its own habitat to be a pest when it's the
humans being the intruders? If you're going to hike in a mountainou region, then natural hazards known to the area should be expected.
