Yeah, I guess in a way that's the same fate as the Nazis, you can't help feeling sorry for the original political group, because they had nothing to do with racism, and merely wanted to regenerate Germany.
I do feel sorry for and empathise with any honest organisations who have had their reputation permanently spoiled. Although I can't say I sympathise with the ideals of the KKK, I can definately understand how frustrating it must be for them.
