Blaze: "Well, Charger, for a long while I didn't know I had any siblings, either...."
Blaze told the passengers his story.
He was raised by a human family that named him Derek. This was because among the tiger-human hybrids, he was one that would most likely pass as a normal human.
"Derek" found out he was part tiger at the age of fourteen. A routine physical with a new doctor (one unaware that "Derek" wasn't supposed to know he was part tiger) was the couse. The doctor announced that he had made a "startling discovery" about Derek: his DNA matched up with samples of tiger DNA.
"Derek," terrified, soon undertakes research to see how such a thing can happen.
He comes across an article on the internet about a tiger mother that gave birth to five human-tiger hybrids. One of them, briefly called Blaze by the zookeepers, looked very humanoid indeed, and was adopted by a childless couple.
Blaze new his origins, and after obtaining the names of his siblings, left his family at the age of fourteen to find them.
When he was seventeen, he reached the last known residency of one of his more Charger-like siblings: Apollo. Unfortunately, she had had a run in with the law, and was accidently shot and killed when authorities tried to subdue her.
At the age of twenty-two, Blaze came across Rush, who was much more tiger than human. He could not speak the language of men, but had the capacity to think like one. He moved about on all fours, had thin fur, and very human eyes. Rush made it abundantly clear that he wanted nothing to do with Blaze; he nearly took off Blaze's arm in warning.
Blaze: ".... and now I've found you, Charger. You're the only one to accept me so far. And, honestly, I sorta hoped you'd join me to find Streak. She's ... well, she's our sister."
