Anybody here remember O.J. Simpson? I do, and I was only about 6 or 7 at the time. This is relevant to Karl Rove leaking the name of an undercover CIA agent, and it is going somewhere. I promise.
O.J. Simpson was a Hall Of Famer RB who murdered his wife and the man she was seeing. Instead of being frank with the police he disguised himself, wrote a suicide note, grabbed his best friend, a few passports, and a fistful of cash and led the po po on a medium speed car chase. Right then and there his guilt was proved to me. Those were obviously the actions of a terrified and guilty man who knew the jig was up.
Likewise with Rove. It took the threat of a felony obstruction of justice threat to speak about his outing of Valerie Plame. He had to be effing subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury. When it was leaked the administration swore up and down that anyone involved would be fired post haste. They also swore that Rove had absolutely no involvement. But now that its clear to everyone Rove WAS involved, they've clammed up. Not one comment from McClellem. Not a peep from a president who vowed to fire the perp. They've gone OJ, and they're guilty as effing sin.
