Sometimes I forget that people want to get different things out of music. Some are looking for pure musicianship. Others want something to dance to. Others listen for the art. Myself, I could listen to something made on a four track with an out of tune acoustic that was missing the E string and would thoroughly enjoy it if it was honest. I love honesty in my music. I'm not talking about the artist lying to his fans so that he can sucker them into buying their albums (although that pisses me off to no end) but the thing that gets me is when a musician can't even admit the truth to themselves. This is where the majority of stupid and pretentious music comes to play. I'm sorry but the half man half goat prancing around the forest protecting your chakra isn't real. It's the same way with religions. People pick and choose their faith as if we actually had that luxoury. I would make a bet with all of you that 90 percent of wickans know down deep that this shit isn't real (if there was just a way to prove something like that). So often we pick and choose our own truths just because they sound cool and they are easier to abide by than the other truth that was presented to us. Life sucks. It's going to continue to suck more and more until the day we die without a single hour of reprieve. We are alone. Noone does and noone ever will understand you. YOU ARE ALONE. YOU WILL DIE ALONE. YOU WILL CRY ALONE. That is unless you finally realize this and attempt to rectify the situation by no longer swallowing the easy truths and actually working to better yourself.

I have no idea how I got started on that and I want to point out that none of that was directed at Statick.
