I believe we're discussing new Mod elections as a solution to the problem(s) which is/are the subject of this thread. The elections of new will help reduce the number of undesired new members and old in some cases. I think it's the best thing we can do right now.

Ambi, if you're refusing to see things from my point of view, then that's your problem, not mine. All it does is gives you very little credibility when commenting on my motives.
I've tried to explain things and you're still finding excuses to carry on causing me grief, so it obviously isn't worth continuing. All I'm going to say is that if I didn't like this place, then I certainly wouldn't stay to put up with your shit. I've said and done things that I've regretted, some because of other people, and some because of me simply making mistakes. Nobody is perfect, not even moderators, because behind that title sits a human being, who is just as fallable as I am - the only thing we can do to make the situation better is to learn from our mistakes - and I'm not about to make this thread another situation that I have to learn from.
The topic of this thread is how we discern and treat trolls masquerading as ignorant newbies, and is not a discussion about my motives for posting this thread. I'm not about to prioritise defending my namesake over improving the state of this forum, so can we please all try to stay on track?

(Since I'm already replying to this thread, I'll go ahead and reply to this too. And also because you've attempted to make me appear incredible. PM me if you have anything else to say to me.)
I clearly stated I can see things from the specific point of view you talked about earlier, but I don't believe that's
your sincere point of view towards the forums. I think you have underlying motives to be honest. Maybe you do, maybe you don't... Either way, you've had too many mixed feelings about the forums for me and a few others that I know of to feel comfortable with your having a position of power here.
Again, I did understand that point of view. As a matter of fact, it's quite like my own. I care for this place and want it to look decent and full of intellectuals, but I don't want it to look like a place where we chase away members who make a mistake or two with torches and stones.
You do make an excellent point about mistakes. Everyone makes them, and all should be given a few fair chances to make up for them and given time to get acquainted with the rules and peacefully settle in, unless the degree of mistakes is completely unforgivable and/or he or she is apparently what you call a "troll".
Edit: I mean gosh, Alcar, stop trying to test Dino.
