Quite a good topic, Statikk.

Kimon got it right, the games' existance is not the real problem. 11 year olds and above can play with these games safely if they know the limits. Some people can hardly make difference between the games and reality in the end, and that may cause problems. If the parents think that their child won't take the game serious, they can let him/her play with it, I think.

I've read about some cases, like the one where a teenager got hold of a sawed-off shotgun and killed people. And then, they found out (or made up, more like) that he did all that because he was playing with Doom. The real question is: How could he get a sawed-off shotgun? At least I think so.
