I once found the remains of my Grandma in a steak pie at a Country Kitchen Buffet.

But seriously, no. I've never had anything nasty in my food. To be honest I think that the majority of these stories are made up to cause problems for fast food chains. A very well known story is that of an entire chicken head being found in a Mcdonalds Chicken McSandwich, which is of course impossible since all the meat used for those burgers is processed shite that's had the holy bajesus minced out of it, therefore a chicken head would not survive in tact. Also it is impossible considering that the chicken's head is the first thing to be removed, and is done so in a completely seperate building, often miles away from the chicken meat preparation building.

I seriously doubt the credibility of all people who report such things, since the vast majority of these stories are made up by people who don't know anywhere near enough about the way the food industry works to make a convincing lie.

I am however fully aware of the reality of flies in the deep frier, and problems with onsite prepared foods. If a branch or franchise premises and staff are not inspected often enough, then problems arise. A local branch of McDonalds had a problem with flies that had gotten out of hand, to the extent that they were flying around the menu boards in large groups. I demanded to see the manager immediately, and when he came out, I simply pointed at the flies and stated "This is unacceptable". The manager shrugged his shoulders and said "you don't like it? then there is the door. We're doing everything we can to get rid of the flies". There is actually a law that states that food cannot be prepared or served around flies. Later that week, after I filed an official complaint various government organisations (health and safety, etc.) the branch was shut down until the problem had been dealt with, and it was discovered that the flies had come from a maggot infestation on a dropped burger that had been swept underneath one of the preparation areas. The branch was fined £2400 for the manager's inappropriate conduct, 4 counts of health and safety violations, and for allowing inadequately trained staff to do jobs that they weren't supposed to be doing as part of "training". Miraculously the franchise escaped a suing and further charges, and are now back up and running again.
