Game testers don't get in. You've got to either have a legitimate reason to be at E3 (IE industry reporter, developer, researcher... someone with a real industry role), or you'll have to fork out some serious coin for a pass.
Last time I went there with concept artist and industry researcher on my tag. Meeting Lorne Lanning and asking him what the hell he was thinking with Munch's Oddysee was the highlight of that one. He answered to the effect of "we're just at the tip of the iceburg, and really still dabbling with 3d games". Pretty lame highlight eh?
