and believe it or not, it has the habit of randomly restarting without warning. It does this every 30 seconds to every 30 minutes. Which is why I have to wrap this post up, just in case >_>

I had this exact same problem. The computer's power supply is fried. You need to either recharge it (I dunno if there is a way) or buy a new power supply (my choice).
Although if you are willing to spend enough to get a brand new computer all together, that might be the best option.
