You hide behind the boulder and shoot things at those two orange generators on his side near the floor. When he destroys the boulder try to find another form of protection like the bookcases as you keep on shooting those two generators. They will break off piece by piece until they explode, and you move to the other generator. Destroy both and you beat him. You don't have to use a specific type of ammo but I found that Stingerss and BoomBats or Thudslugs do the most damage.
