It's not that I don't like shooters-I love them-it's just that I've played so many of them. What got me into Oddworld was the story, character development, and fresh gameplay that I had never seen in a game before-in other words: originality. I was a bit disappointed when I heard that Fangus was going to be a beat-'em-up shooter type of game because it was going to be yet another shooter out there, in my opinion. (Not that it's a bad thing-it's just not what got me interested in Oddworld. I've just played way too many shooters in the past.) But at the same time, I can understand-that genre appeals to more people in gaming. As for Majesco not publishing Fangus, to be honest, I'm not surprised because this type of thing seems to happen to OWI a lot for some reason, which is a shame because it seemed to me that Majesco would've been the perfect publisher for this game. :/ (Hence its darker tone.)
