I thought one of the things OWI wanted to do with Stranger was showcase that their game-making abilities weren't limited to puzzle games. Besides, if a story demands a different format, its weak to change it because you haven't worked in that type of game before. I thought Fangus was a joke, but it seemed like it had potential. I would have preferred more elaboration of Stranger if they were sticking with that engine, and so I'm glad Fangus got delayed. I hope it still comes out, but with more time on the back-burner OWI has been given a chance to turn the unoriginal design into something better, as well as reevaluate the game's primary thrust.
Still though, a darker oddworld game or a "fearie-tale" (or whatever it's called) would be highly welcome to me. I love a good tragic-hero.
